I earned my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Art, with an emphasis in Graphic Design from Oregon State University in 2002.  I worked many years as a professional Graphic Designer, but have come to realize teaching art is my true calling because I love teaching others about how God created each of us and our beautiful World! I have been the art teacher here at SJA since 2017 and my family has been at SJA since 2013.  Through our own art and through learning about other’s great historical art, we can share the love of God and spread His love.

My husband, Steve and I have been married since 2002.  Together, we have two daughters, Alexandra and Caroline.  Both of our daughters have been students of       St. John’s Academy since Kindergarten.  In my free-time, I enjoy spending quality family time, volunteering, various church activities, traveling, biking, kayaking, and of course drawing and painting! My most favorite part of teaching our SJA art students is seeing each of their personal God-given artistic abilities come to fruition and seeing these students realize they CAN create fantastic art!
